This ski-in/ski-out reost is located at the base of the Red River Ski and Snowboard Area at Red River, New Mexico. The region get up to 188 inches of snow each year and is ideal for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and other winter activities for five months of the year. In summer, the area is perfect for fishing, hiking and mountain biking.
The Resort
The resort is located just 30 feet from the nearest ski lift and 3 blocks from the main ski entrance. Call the resort to check on seasonal dates, as many eqipment vendors are closed April-May, and October-November. Red River has an outdoor hot tub and barbeque area, snowboarding area and privately owned lift. The deks overlook the mountains and ski slopes. Condos include a gas fireplace and washer and dryer.
Nearby Attractions
Red River Ski Area has 58 runs for beginner, intermediate and advanced skiiers. A nationally recognized ski school is on-site for those who have never before tried this fantastic sport, or those who could use a refresher course before they hit the course! The resort is also a short drive from Taos, where you can soak up some art and spend a day wander through the many museums. Or take the museum tour and visit them all. little farther away you can visit the former home of Georgia O'Keefe and step into the Spanish-Colonial era.
