The Historic Powhatan Resort is a history buffs dream vacation spot, and an ideal location for families needing extra room while exploring the attractions of Williamsburg. The resort is situated on 256 beautiful woodland acres, and is home to an 18th century restored Manor House. The resort is an easy 10-minute drive to Colonial Williamsburg, and less than 10 miles from Busch Gardens Theme Park.
Accommodations at the Historic Powhatan include one, two, and three-bedroom suites with kitchens and private bedrooms with separate living areas. Most suites feature cozy fireplaces perfect for chilly evenings.
Guests are free to roam the resorts expansive grounds and gardens, or relax poolside. The resort features both an indoor and outdoor pool. Additional resort amenities include a fitness room, tennis courts, putting green, and picnic area.
Dining is available at the Powhatan Bar and Grille and the Kitchen Restaurant. Both restaurants are open seasonally. The Powhatan Bar and Grille serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Kitchen Restaurant serves lunch and dinner and features contemporary upscale fine dining in a comfortable, intimate setting. Check with the resort front desk to confirm operating hours. | Driving: From the airport take I-64 to exit 242A (Jamestown/ Route 199 West). Follow Route 199 West for 5.5 miles to the fifth traffic light. Turn left onto Route 5W (John Tyler Hwy). Continue for 1.8 miles to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Route 615 (Ironbound Road). Powhatan is located just under a mile on the left hand side. From Richmond take the I-64 to exit 234 (199E). Follow Route 199 East for approximately 8.5 miles to the first traffic light. Turn right onto John Tyler Hwy (Route 5). Continue for 1.8 miles to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Route 615 (Ironbound Road). Powhatan is located just under a mile on the left hand side. |
