The Grand Teton Music Festival
The Grand Teton Music Festival has been the summer home for classical music in Jackson Hole since 1962. Guided by the vision of founding fathers George Hufsmith and conductor Ernest Hagen, the Music Festival was originally produced by the Fine Arts Guild as part of the Jackson Hole Fine Arts Festival. volunteers gave time, energy and money to make the acoustical panels, risers and floor coverings that provided the setting for beautiful music.

The Jackson Hole Playhouse
Situated at 145 West Deloney, in the heart of Jackson's original town site, one block west of todays town square, the Jackson Hole Playhouse is the oldest framed building in Jackson. Built in 1916 by Pap Deloney, it served as a blacksmith and buggy shop. As times changed rapidly at the beginning of the century, so did the building. It became the towns first car dealership, it's first bowling alley, a billiard hall, an electric shop, a western union outpost, and a house of ill-repu...Well, that's just a rumor.

Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours
The original sled dog company operating in Jackson Hole is hosted by Jackson Hole's seven time Iditarod veteran, Frank Teasley. Frank has been a professional dog musher for thirteen years. He learned his craft from veteran musher and "Father of the Iditarod," Joe Reddington, Sr. Frank's best Iditarod finish to date was sixth in 1991. He won the coveted Leonhard Seppala Humanitarian Award for the best cared for team in 1989, and the Sterling Silver Award for the most improved team in 1991.

Archeological studies established human occupation of Jackson Hole for at least 11,000 years. Knowledge of early people is extremely limited. Data suggests that they used the area from spring to fall, based on seasonal availability of resources.
Grand Teton Mountain Range
Grand Teton National Park protects stunning mountain scenery and a diverse array of wildlife. The Teton Range is the focal point of the park, the youngest range in the Rocky Mountains. An active normal fault, the Teton Fault, lies on the 40 mile long mountain front. Rock is jetted into the sky some 7,000 feet from the flat plains, with the highest peak at 13,770 feet, the Grand Teton.
