Kirkwood
Welcome to Kirkwood! This premier ski resort features over 65 trails of downhill fun and for skiers and snowboarders of every level. 12 lifts take you to the top of the 9,800 foot mountain for an exhilarating day on the slopes.
Bear Valley Mountain
Bear Valley Mountain offers great Southern California Skiing. The resort features 10 lifts with 67 trails for skiing and snowboarding with a vertical rise of 1,900 feet. Trails range from beginner to expert with available classes and training.
El Dorado County Historical Museum
Step back into the history of one of the original California counties. We will take you on a tour of the people, places and things from an earlier time. Our exhibits cover pre-history, mining, logging, agriculture, ranching, Victorian lifestyles, early transportation and commerce throughout El Dorado County. Exhibits include displays on the Gold Rush, local Native American baskets, lifestyles, wagons, and artifacts from the mining, agricultural, and lumbering industries.
Launch Wakeboarding School
Launch Wakeboarding School was started by Ryan Fraser in 1999. Since then, Launch has been successfully teaching people of all ages and all abilities about the sport of wakeboarding. Launch even introduced a first time boaters coarse that is the first class of its kind. This course is designed to help those that are just getting into the sport. Launch primarily teaches on Folsom Lake, but they also travel to different locations. Future plans will include expansion of the school to the Sacramento River and to the Delta near Stockton.
Sierra at Tahoe
Sierra at Tahoe offers twelve lifts up to heights of 8,852 feet. As one of the largest ski areas in Lake Tahoe, there are 2,000 skiable acres for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex
The Parks and Recreation complex consists of a 25 yard indoor/outdoor year round swimming pool, gymnasium, weight room, kitchen, crafts room, various meeting rooms, changing/shower facilities, outdoor volleyball and basketball courts, picnic area and Parks and Recreation Department offices. The complex is maintained and operated by the City of South Lake Tahoe Parks and Recreation Department who provide a well-rounded social, aquatic and physical recreation programs for both people of the community and visiting tourists.

Squaw Valley Adventure Center
No matter what the weather or your ability level, you'll have a blast climbing the 25 different routes and 30-foot high simulated rock surface at the Headwall Climbing Wall. Suitable for kids, first timers of all ages, as well as expert climbers, Headwall offers inexpensive fun for the whole family. Climb as long as you wish for less than $15 per person. The climbing wall is a wonderful activity to establish and strengthen bonds as participants take turns belaying each other. Assistance and basic climbing instruction is available for beginners and children.
Angel Island State Park
Angel Island is a microcosm of U.S. History spanning from the Miwok Indian times, through the Cold War. Angel Island has served as a hunting ground for the Miwoks, a Civil War encampment, a quarantine station during the Spanish-American War, a discharge depot and recruitment processing center during World War I, an embarkation station and POW camp during World War II, an Immigration Station often referred to as "The Ellis Island of the West" from 1910 through 1940 and a Nike Missile Base from 1955 to 1962.
Alpine Meadows

Sand Harbor
Sand Harbor is popular for its sandy beaches, boat launches, picnicking, and group use facilities. It is located three miles south of Incline Village on State Route 28. Memorial Point and Hidden Beach are both situated between Incline Village and Sand Harbor, both of which offer outstanding views of the lake and more secluded access to its shores. Spooner Lake, at the intersection of State Route 28 and U.S. 50, is popular for picnics, hiking, mountain biking, catch-and-release fishing and cross-country skiing. Owner and executive chef Greg Cole opened Celadon restaurant in the fall of 1996 and has since been considered a local favorite in downtown Napa.
