CARLSBAD, CA – (March 2017) ResorTime, the rental arm of timeshare management company Grand Pacific Resorts, donates $2,500 to Operation Safehouse, a teen crisis center in Riverside, CA. The charity received the most votes during the first quarter of the crowd source giving contest on ResorTime.com.
With community support, Operation Safehouse provides emergency shelter, intervention, and outreach services. The charity also partners with the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force to protect at-risk-youth and provide the necessary tools and counseling to help teens become self-sufficient.
“The $2,500 donation will assist us in sustaining our emergency shelter program through the purchase of food, clothing, hygiene products, and educational materials. All of these items are so important in order to encourage at-risk youth in their movement from the streets, to our shelter, and eventually into a safe and stable environment,” explains Kathy McAdara, Executive Director of Operation Safehouse.
“We’re thrilled that the community came together to support this charity during our first of four $2,500 giveaways of 2017. We understand the importance of social responsibility to help facilitate the safety and basic needs for teens in crisis,” says Renee Wagner, Director of Creative Services for ResorTime. “Our giving program was created with a philosophy that ‘What Matters to You, Matters to Us.’ Operation Safehouse serves the community where many of our guests at our coastal resorts call home so it’s a cause that’s close to our guest’s hearts.”
ResorTime’s giving program is proud to make an impact to four causes every year. If there is a 501(c)(3) you’re passionate about go to beCause Destination Matters to submit your inspiring story for a chance to win your favorite cause a $2,500 donation.
