Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours: October 22-23 & 29-30
This annual event is sponsored by the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council (MBCAC) and features two weekends of self-guided tours to the art studios, galleries and exhibitions of 140 desert artists! It covers over 50 miles and is treated more like an art treasure hunt. Catalogs and maps for the event are available at area galleries, Chamber of Commerce, Twentynine Palms Visitor Center, California Welcome Center in Yucca Valley, and MBCAC. When you depart on your art adventure be sure to bring plenty of water and be prepared to drive on desert dirt roads to some of the studios and exhibitions.
