Heading South for the Winter

Baby, it’s cold outside!

If you’re feeling winter weary and in need of some sun this season, swap your sweaters for sandals and head for warmer weather!

Check out a couple of affordable sun-drenched destinations that are close enough to easily access yet far enough to feel like you’re escaping the winter chill.

Cabo Region of Baja California, Mexico:

This quaint fishing and surfing town just a short flight away is full of traditional Mexican charm, white sand beaches, delicious authentic cuisine—and plenty of year-round sunshine.

Once a popular hideaway for Hollywood’s elite, the picturesque port is now a common cruise ship stop, beach fiesta destination, and budding culinary capital.

Jet ski in the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez or take a glass bottom boat to the iconic Arch for a snorkel before heading back to the beach for Baja style fish tacos and an ice cold cerveza.

Sedona, Arizona:

Sedona is a vacationer’s oasis in the middle of the Arizona desert, and temperatures in winter are ideal. Nestled among striking sandstone formations, this geological wonderland is equal parts rugged and rest.

Native Americans once regarded the region as sacred, and it continues to be considered a place of healing and renewal with multiple rejuvenating day spas and outdoor yoga retreats. Downtown Sedona features several Southwest art galleries and gourmet restaurants.

Boundless surrounding state and national parks lend themselves to scenic hikes and mountain biking, and the Grand Canyon and historic Route 66 are just day trips away.

Whether it’s somewhere on a beach in Mexico or under the Sedona sun, wherever you choose to thaw out this season, we hope your holiday is filled with warmth of all kinds!
